Goodbye, buttons – BMW’s new Panoramic iDrive system gives all of its cars a massive head-up display with AI assistant

BMW has revealed the innovative iDrive system that will debut in the upcoming Neue Klasse range of electric vehicles at CES 2025. The Panoramic iDrive features a full-width head-up display and customizable content, creating a personalized user experience. Alongside this, there’s a 3D head-up display for additional information. The system is powered by BMW’s latest OS X operating system, designed for intuitive use. Despite eliminating physical buttons in favor of touchscreen and voice commands, concerns arise regarding potential user navigation issues. BMW aims for a seamless transition towards autonomous driving with the Panoramic iDrive system.
