Netflix lawsuit sues VMware over virtual machine patents

Netflix has filed a lawsuit against Broadcom, alleging that its subsidiary VMware has infringed on five patents related to virtual machine (VM) technology. The patents in question cover various aspects of operating virtual machines, including CPU usage and load balancing. Netflix claims that VMware was aware of the patent violations for over a decade. The lawsuit states that Broadcom and VMware have willfully and deliberately infringed on the patents, and Netflix is seeking damages for the violation.
