HMD has unveiled the HMD OffGrid, a new location-sharing device equipped with satellite communication capabilities. Priced at $199 / £169 upfront with a $14.99 / £14.99 monthly subscription fee, the pocket-sized device promises to bring satellite capabilities to any smartphone, allowing users to send messages and SOS signals in remote areas. Compared to the Garmin InReach, the HMD OffGrid offers a more affordable option while boasting military-grade durability and a sleek design.
