Cybersecurity experts have uncovered a concerning discovery of a fraudulent Android application masquerading as Telegram Premium, designed to steal sensitive information from unsuspecting users. The malicious software, known as FireScam, is being disseminated via phishing websites posing as the Russian app marketplace RuStore. Upon installation, the malware gains access to personal data such as login credentials and clipboard information, which is then extracted and transferred to remote servers. Despite the sophisticated nature of the threat, the culprits behind FireScam remain unidentified.
